X-Microwave designs and manufactures high-performance Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs) — custom RF & microwave subsystems engineered for demanding aerospace, defense, and advanced commercial applications.
We integrate customer-defined RF components, control circuitry, and frequency blocks into rugged, SWaP-optimized modules operating to 80–95 GHz. These assemblies are deployed in communications systems, electronic warfare platforms, radar architectures, and satellite payloads where performance and reliability are critical.
Rapid Prototyping
Development begins on the X-Microwave Modular Platform. Using configurable X-MWblocks and our proven GSG jumper solder-less interconnect system, fully functional RF assemblies can be built quickly on prototyping plates. Regulated and sequenced bias control is incorporated directly into the working hardware, allowing real-world validation early in the design cycle.
Engineers can modify signal chains, optimize performance, and evaluate shielding or cavity effects before committing to production hardware. This dramatically reduces development risk and shortens iteration cycles.
Seamless Transition to Production
Once performance is validated, the proven design transitions into a rugged production enclosure. We preserve the validated RF architecture while preparing it for environmental and mechanical requirements.
Depending on program needs, designs may remain modular within a housing, be miniaturized “on-the-grid,” or consolidated into a single PCB for volume manufacturing. Spring-pin control connections can be replaced with soldered wiring for increased ruggedness in dynamic environments. The result is efficient production scaling with significant design reuse and reduced NRE.
